Ken's roll in this project was the sub-contract for the framing & finishing to another project from Matte Bros. & Sons for the hotel, restaurant, strip plaza & gas station. As well just prior to this project Ken managed the gas station refurbish of all tanks and pumps in the Carmel Inn. Among office renovations and the on going of there suburban home developments in different areas across Prince George.
The Moon Apartments is one of Ken's design build projects and one of the few projects the was awarded to, by Frank Flowers through out Grand Cayman. The Moon Apartments consisted of two buildings holding 19 units of one & two bedrooms each. This was another project built using the ICF (Insulated Concrete Forms) that Ken liked to offer his customer for the energy savings. The two building was separated with a 14'x40' swimming pool & gazebo.
The South Coast bar was one out of a few projects Ken had the pleasure of designing & building for his good friend in Grand Cayman.
The original bar was on a plot of land beside the new one that was built after Hurricane Ivan deciding a complete removal. When Ken had designed this new wave crashing building, he had only one thing in mind and that was design to stand as he does not want that late phone call from his good friend Tony.
The foundation sitting about 12' below the road at sea level on iron shore rock was not enough Ken drilled 9' piles in every corner and intersection that was created to take a massive hit. With the back of the building designed in a "V" shape with solid concrete reinforce vertically and horizontal 8" & 16" o/c with the back columns and beams 24" square solid reinforced concrete.
